Prerequisite Course Articulation
Find prerequisite course equivalencies for Samuel Merritt University nursing programs. See how courses from California community colleges, CSU and UC campuses, and other participating institutions may satisfy admission requirements for the BSN, ABSN, and ELMSN programs.
How to Use the Articulation Tool
Step 1: Select Your Program
Choose the nursing program you’re interested in.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — for students without a bachelor’s degree who have completed transferable coursework
- Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) — for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree
- Entry-Level Master of Science in Nursing (ELMSN) — for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree
Step 2: Select Your School
Choose up to three colleges or universities. Hold the Ctrl key on Windows or Command key on Mac to select multiple schools.
Step 3: View Your Course Equivalencies
Select Submit to display available prerequisite course articulations.
Before You Use the Tool
This tool is designed to help prospective students identify prerequisite course equivalencies. Because Samuel Merritt University receives applications from many institutions, not every school or course is included.
If you do not find your school or course, or if you believe course information has changed, please contact the Office of Admission at admission@samuelmerritt.edu with:
- The institution name
- The course description
- The program requirement you would like reviewed
For a complete evaluation of your coursework, attend an information session or speak with an admission counselor. If you’ve already attended an information session, we encourage you to schedule an individual transcript review to discuss your educational options.
