Disability Resource Center

Samuel Merritt University recognizes disability as an aspect of diversity that is integral to society and to the campus community. The Disability Resource Center collaborates with students, faculty, staff, and community members to create usable, equitable, inclusive, and sustainable learning environments through training, partnerships, innovative programs and accommodations.

The role of the Disability Resource Center is to assist the campus community in creating more usable and inclusive environments. When this is accomplished, access for students with disabilities is seamless. When necessary, the DRC works with students and faculty to create accommodations to provide equal access to University services and facilities.

Faculty, staff, or students with questions about accessibility should contact Elisa Laird-Metke at elaird-metke@samuelmerritt.edu or 510.879.9233.

Campus Location:

The DRC office and Testing Rooms are located on the first floor of the Peralta Medical Office building (PMOB) on the Oakland campus. To check in for appointments and exams, please go to the Campus Service Center.
