About Me

Megan is an SMU alumna and lives near the SMU Sacramento campus. She holds a per-diem role in Clinical Informatics at a Sacramento health system. Most of her clinical background is in the Emergency Department, as well as a couple of years in the adult ICU and corporate supply chain. When she is not teaching at SMU or working as an Informaticist, she is often found hiking with her dog or spending time with her husband and step daughters. 

Education

Megan became a licensed vocational nurse in 2007; Associates Degree in Nursing 2012; RN-BSN 2018, Master of Science, Nursing Science and Healthcare Leadership 2020, Doctor of Nursing Practice 2023.

Teaching Interests

Megan enjoys teaching Informatics, Research, and serving as a DNP chair to students.

Scholarly Interests

Megan's scholarly work is in the field of Clinical Informatics. She is also pursuing an advisory board seat with her county public health department.
