About Me
Gail grew up in Pocatello, Idaho, and lived in California for 25 years before moving to Albuquerque, NM, in 2021. She started with an associate degree in nursing from DeAnza College in 2000 and received a BSN from CSU Chico, and has been a CRNA since graduating from Samuel Merritt in 2013. She worked at Kaiser Roseville for nine years before moving to Albuquerque, where she is the CRNA Director at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center, working for Main Street Anesthesia. She earned her Doctorate of Nurse Anesthesia Practice and a Fellowship in Acute Surgical Pain Management from the Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia in 2021. She also sits on the NBCRNA CPC Exam writing board. In addition, Gail will co-teach Principles of Anesthesia I NURSG 751 and guest lecture regional anesthesia content. Gail has been involved with Samuel Merritt in various roles since graduating in 2013. She has been a preceptor, lecturer, and simulation instructor. She is also a doctorate project advisor for the Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia.
Hobbies Gail enjoys hiking, traveling, playing pickleball, and cooking. She has been married for 33 years, and she and her husband have two adult sons, two daughters-in-law, and one crazy dog.

Scholarly Interests
Gail’s doctoral and fellowship focus was on the assessment of competency in regional anesthesia when learning via simulation. She presented her research at the AANA Annual Congress in 2021 and will be published in the AANA journal in April 2023.

Community Service
While living in California, Gail mentored and precepted Samuel Merritt students. In Albuquerque, she mentors students from the University of Arizona, Westminster College, and Texas Wesleyan University CRNA programs. In addition, she has participated in two medical missions with Hospital de la Familia in Nuevo Progresso, Guatemala
