About Me

I started my nursing career as a cardiac/surgical ICU RN. I progressed into leadership and served my hospital for 3 years in the supervisory role. During my time I was involved in the Clinical Practice Council and Professional Practice Council; participation in conducting research, and quality management projects.

After I advanced my degree into the FNP role, I placed my energy and passion into primary and preventative care. I am devoted to empowering my patients' participation and ownership of their health for better outcomes and overall general well-being. My goal is to improve primary care within my community and beyond.

I have been teaching with Samuel Merritt University since 2022 as adjunct faculty for the online MSN-FNP program, and now associate professor the DNP program.

Education

My education started with Chaffey Community College where I obtained my ADN- RN degree in 2010. After a couple years as a practicing RN I continued my education online from Western Governors University where I obtained my BSN. I went back to school again in 2015 with Samuel Merritt University and continued my online education and received my MSN-FNP degree in 2017. In 2021 I continued my online journey with the Johns Hopkins University and graduated in 2023 with my Doctorate of Nurse Practice and Post Master's certificate in Nursing Education.
