About Me

I am a master's prepared adjunct faculty member and I am excited to share my love of community health with students. I live with my husband in Yuba City and we have two little kids at home. My husband is currently working hard to become a RN through Samuel Merrit's ABSN program. We love Samuel Merritt!
My background and passion is working with women and children. I currently work as a district school nurse in a rural California school district where I oversee the care of students in approximately seven schools. I am a case manager and provide district-wide oversight of student's healthcare needs. I collaboratively, with fellow district nurses, teach administrators and staff about healthcare needs of students and emergency procedures including CPR certification.

Education

I completed my bachelor's degree in nursing at Azusa Pacific University. As a new graduate, I took part in Children's Hospital Emergency Room RN Residency program. I then went on to complete my my master's degree in nursing from Frontier Nursing University in 2011. I am a board certified nurse midwife. I am also certified as a life coach and CPR instructor.
