Event Overview

Witness SMU leaders, including President Ching-Hua Wang, share two historic announcements that will reshape the University experience for our students today and forward into the next 100 years.

A light brunch will be provided along with seating and transportation support.

Transportation Information

• Campus Shuttle
  • There will be shuttle service from campus to the event site beginning at 9 a.m. and running every 15 minutes. The campus shuttle stop location is 450 30th St. in the roundabout.
  • Shuttle service back to campus will run every 15 minutes until 12:15 p.m. 
    The event shuttle stop location is 525 12 Street.
• Public Transportation
  • BART – Exit at 12th Street City Center Station. Please see the BART trip planner to route your trip.
  • AC Transit – Multiple bus lines serve the location. Please see the AC Transit trip planner to route your trip.

• Parking in the Area
  • Oakland City Center West Parking, 525 14th St. 
  • Oakland Convention Center Garage, 550 10th St. 
  • Transpacific Center Garage, 1000 Broadway  
  • Oakland City Center, 505 14th St.

Please note this is an all-weather outdoor event. Alameda County Health Care Services Agency COVID guidelines will be observed.
