About Me

After my training, I returned to my hometown of Stockton, CA and opened a podiatric medical practice.  I also worked for Kaiser Permanente and eventually became full time.  I was Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery before retiring to take care of ailing parents and my two children.

After several years, I decided to pursue my passion for teaching and was hired as adjunct faculty in the Department of Biological Sciences at San Joaquin Delta Community College.  I primarily taught Human Anatomy until I was hired at SMU five years later.

I graduated as Class Valedictorian from the University of the Pacific with a B.S. in Biology. I then attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine, now known as CSPM,  and graduated as Class Valedictorian.  I completed a two-year Podiatric Surgical Residency and a one year Diabetic Foot Fellowship, both associated with the California College of Podiatric Medicine and both involving teaching podiatric medical students.
