I am a driven RN with over 30 years in nursing. My focus has been grounded in critical care nuring: emergency nursing (for over three decades), trauma, ICU (medical-surgical, trauma, and neurosurgical, pediatric), pediatric emergency nursing, flight nursing, legal nurse consulting and pre-licensure nursing education.

My research interests include interprofessional and interdiciplinary collaboration (especially nurse-physician); nursing agency; role-bluring, and patient safety. My master's thesis at Unverity of California, SF focused on team safety: "Evaluating the Effectiveness of Crew Resource Management's Adaptation to Health Care to Enhance Patient Safety." I am currenting studying at the Irene Betty Moore School of Nursing at University of California, Davis, in their nursing science and healthcare leadershiph PhD program.
