Teaching and Learning

MARC as a Classroom

From the very beginning of the conceptualization of the MARC, teaching and learning, along with research and service, were central goals for the laboratory. Faculty in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Podiatry wanted a facility where students could see concepts presented in class or learned via textbooks and journals put into practice. The MARC would be a place where students could gain hands-on experience with 3D motion capture, pressure mapping, electromyography, and biomechanics as it relates to their respective disciplines.
