Officially opened in November 2013, the Motion Analysis Research Center (MARC) is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for measuring motion, forces, pressures, balance and muscle function. Qualisys is a leading, global provider of products & services based on optical motion capture. The core technology of Qualisys products has been developed in Sweden since 1989. The configuration in the MARC includes 9 Oqus digital 1.3 MP video cameras capable of speeds up to 500 fps. Analog signals from force platforms, EMG, and other analog devices, are synchronized via USB 3.0 and captured with the video data.. The system is controlled via Qualisys Tracking Manager (QTM), that handles the motion capture process in an efficient and user friendly way. QTM supports hardware made by Qualisys as well as a variety of external equipment. The software is an integral part of Qualisys’ motion capture system and is used for a wide range of application scenarios such as indoor or outdoor, in-air or underwater, with passive markers or active markers, real-time or post-processing, ensuring a consistent and familiar user experience.

This revolutionary hybrid EMG/Movement sensor with motion artifact suppression provides an unprecedented combination of data in a reliable manner. Each one of the 16 sensors in our system not only sample electromyographic signals from superficial muscles but are also triaxial accelerometers capable of collecting motion data.
The F-Scan system provides dynamic pressure, force and timing information for foot function and gait analysis. The in-shoe customized-fit sensors allow for pressure data to collected at the foot-shoe interface and can be captured wirelessly in the MARC or other remote locations, or can be saved in data logger mode for later download to the Tekscan computer.
ProtoKinetics Zeno Walkway detects and collects pressure data during static and dynamic balance and gait assessment. The Zeno Walkway contains a 16-level pressure sensing pad and circuitry inside a unique low profile housing. The data display layout is completely customizable and with the HD camera display, allows for synchronized video to be stored with the foot-floor pressure data.
