The mission of the Samuel Merritt University (SMU) President’s Ambassador Program is to provide student leaders who participate in an official capacity at special events throughout the year. This program, which brings together students from various academic disciplines, serves to enrich and enhance leadership and communication skills, personal growth, and professional development for its membership while creating long lasting ties with their future alma mater.

Purpose:

The SMU President’s Ambassadors are trained student leaders who are responsible for promoting unity and engagement among the SMU student body. Ambassadors will, at the request of the President, represent the University in a variety of venues, including, but not limited to public events, fundraising activities, community service events, speaking engagements, student recruitment activities, and other informational or educational sessions where both the Ambassador and the University will benefit by linking outreach effort to professional and leadership development.
