Counseling Appointments in Oakland, Sacramento and San Mateo
In person or phone counseling appointments are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, we strongly encourage prospective students to attend an information session or webinar first as the most common questions are answered in that format. A schedule of upcoming information sessions is listed on the admissions pages for each program. To schedule a counseling appointment, please call or email the Campus Service Center at:
Please specify at which campus you wish to have your counseling appointment. Counseling appointments will last approximately 30-60 minutes with the primary purpose being to review transcripts for prerequisites. Please bring unofficial transcripts with you to the appointment. Because of the limited length of the appointment, arriving on time is important. Prospective students who arrive late may need to reschedule or have the length of their appointment reduced.
NOTE: Due to the overwhelming number of requests, we are unable to accommodate individual counseling appointments for prospective Physician Assistant students. Prospective PA students are encouraged to attend information sessions or webinars to learn more about the program and to ask admission related questions.
Drop-In Counseling (Oakland only)
If you have a quick question, drop-in counseling may be perfect for you. No appointment is needed. Drop-in counseling is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10:00 and 11:30 a.m. Because of time limitations, transcript reviews are not conducted during drop-in counseling. Drop-in counseling is not available during the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's.
